چکیده
A new hybrid analytical model (HAM) based on conformal mapping (CM) method and magnetic equivalent circuit (MEC) is presented in this paper for electromagnetic modelling of cage rotor induction motors (CRIMs) used electric submersible pumps (ESPs). For every operating point, the iron parts are modelled with a non-linear MEC to calculate virtual currents, which represent influence magneto motive force (MMF) drops MMF sources stator cores. The effects currents air-gap field then considered using CM Hague's solution. This approach calculating also prepare 3-D lookup table (3-D LUT) each element inductance matrix derivative terms position. These LUTs transient analysis CRIM under no-load loading conditions. accuracy proposed HAM validated by comparing results obtained through corresponding from finite experiment set-up.

A new method has been developed for the detection of broken rotor bars fault in squirrel cage induction motor during startup regimes. The incipient detection of fault is made by using DWT analysis of FIR low pass filtered original startup transient current signal. The extracted particular characteristic evolution of the time-varying signal is used as a fault index. The method was tested using h...

Induction motors have become the most used electrical motors in the world. They are rugged, easy to maintain, low in cost and good in performance. Those benefits have made induction motors very popular among users. During their exploitation period induction motors are exposed to various stresses that can become fatal to their performance and bring with them huge economic losses and safety risks...
